Michael R. Jordan, MD
Dr Jordan grew up in Middle Tennessee and went to McGavock High School. He obtained a biology degree at Sewanee while lettering in football and was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department. He attended medical school at Vanderbilt University before receiving his orthopedic training at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Jordan has lived in Murfreesboro and practiced orthopedics since 1993. He has served as a team physician for MTSU, Sewanee and all of the Rutherford County and City high schools.
Dr. Jordan enjoys taking care of athletes, as well as general adult reconstructive problems. He also has a special interest in complex arthroscopic reconstructions of the shoulder and knee, including cartilage transplants of the knee. He also performs arthroscopy of the hip and minimally invasive joint replacements. He is married and has three children. His hobbies include running, golf and saltwater fishing.
