Philip G. Coogan, MD
Dr. Coogan graduated with honors from Harvard College with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. After college he received his medical education at Vanderbilt University Medical School where he was awarded the prestigious Justin Potter full tuition medical scholarship, and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After medical school he completed both the orthopedic and plastic surgical residencies at the Duke University Medical Center as well as a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and reconstructive microsurgery.
Dr. Coogan joined TOA from Duke in 1997 to specialize in treatment of the hand, wrist and elbow.
