TOA's rich tradition in Sport Medicine began with the work of Dr. A. Brant "Pinky" Lipscomb. Besides being named to the All-Southeastern Conference basketball tournament between 1939 and 1941, he served as team physician for Vanderbilt athletics from 1947 until 1990. Dr. Lipscomb is credited by many in college athletics as the pioneer in making Sports Medicine a widely accepted specialty. Today, TOA proudly follows in his footsteps by offering the best in Sport Medicine care. Those with Sports Medicine injuries and problems can come in confidence to TOA physicians who have dedicated their professional careers to our Center of Expertise.
